Hi Julian and Sophie, any thoughts re: Enlivening or refreshing the main page design a bit, and hopefully stimulating a bit more interactivity perhaps? Happy to do this, should only take a few mins. Likely to upset anyone?
Hi Sophie, we've had a location suggested for a possible (London) meet-up. Wondering, if we can get a date that at least a few of us could get to, if we'd be able to use the events module here, to invite people to sign up? Any thoughts?
Hi Sophie, just wondering if members who join groups are getting an automatic welcome from those groups? (As I got one for a group I started - not a problem - I'm guessing 'yes', but just checking). I think it's good if it's set up this way. Perhaps good to confirm this happens for anyone starting a group, plus include any alternative options eg adding personalised messages eg could be included in 'rough guide to using the site' as suggested by Lorna on crowdsourcing Cheers, Phil
I have worked in the voluntary and community sector for over 20 years mainly in youth inclusion and community regeneration roles. I am currently Deputy Chief Officer at Wirral CVS and I also Manage Greater Merseyside Tendering and Procurement Support Service which aims to support social purpose businesses in winning a greater share of the public sector contracting market. I am a Trustee of a North Birkenhead Development Trust and Chair of my local Sixth Form College. So you can see that my interests and activities in inclusion and empowerment are fairly wide ranging. I have tracked the evolution of The Big Society Agenda since its inception and am looking forward to sharing my perspective and gaining fresh insights from others looking at Big Society from diffrent angles.
